How deep the Father's love for us,
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure

How great the pain of searing loss,
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the chosen One,
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the Man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice,
Call out among the scoffers

It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection

Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

Seth, Micah, and Kenton took a "break" from the week's work to climb Pioneer Peak last Saturday. After starting the 15 mile hike at 7:30 am, they summited the 6300+ foot peak with 10 friends and made it down in time for dinner (at McDonalds.) :)

Matthew takes a break from the climb.

Six of the group–including Micah, Sandie, and Luke–tried to reach the North Peak of Pioneer (the actual, but technical, summit) yet had to turn back due to time constraints.

Sandie, with the South Peak as a magnificent backdrop.

After reaching the south summit, some of us headed down to a ridge, where we began our attempt at the north peak.

The rugged north peak in sight.

On Monday, work resumed at the site... however, we are still waiting for several windows that have been delayed for nearly a week. Because the windows have not arrived on time, we have not been able to finish building the remaining second-story walls.

The stairs out the back door of the garage were built quickly, due to Duncan's expertise.

The stairs – complete.

The best time of any work day... lunch. :)

Enjoying a temporary respite from the otherwise incessant rain.

Micah takes a turn using the radial arm saw.

The walls lay ready for the windows to arrive...

Work continued despite the steady rain.

One wall was raised today... the first for the second story of the house!

A view of the house from the second story of the garage.

The front porch gradually begins to take shape...
