"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
They are new every morning;
Great is your faithfulness."

~Lamentations 3:22~

Our growing house as seen from across the valley behind our property

Duncan is always hard at work unless he is enjoying doughnut break.

The roof trusses are covered.

Passing OSB through the trusses to Roger on the roof.

We are so thankful for the sunshine and safety during the days of roof work.

Upstairs- looking from the boys' bedroom towards Psalm's room.

The view up the stairs towards the two bathrooms

Nathan lends a hand sweeping up.

The east wall

Uncle Bill stopped by this week to sing "Happy Birthday" to Doug and to see the progress. The wooden bench on which he is sitting "survived" the fire to a degree, however it was only after Aunt Sandy generously volunteered her incredible woodworking skills and valuable time to restore it that it became usable again. Thank you so much, Aunt Sandy!

Views near the "catwalk" showing the newly covered walls

Duncan saws the pieces of wood to the exact size and angle...

...and Roger nails them up.

Raising up the biggest of the two decorative gables on the front of the house

The roofers arrive with their materials which are to be used later in finishing the roof.

The extension on the front entry takes shape.

Our littlest neighbor, Bonnie, drops by to see us often. Despite how dirty and muddy Bonnie gets everytime she comes, her mother Tami graciously lets her continue her neighborly ways.

Wynn and Psalm enjoyed pushing Bonnie around in the little blue car. She likes it so much she drove it home.

The porch cover is framed.

My sister and her family out for a bike ride in the neighborhood.

One day recently Isaac and Kenton worked on repairing our lineup of decrepit lawn mowers.

Masterful builder Mr. Carl begins the construction of the living room fireplace.

Kenton inspects the job.

The stack goes through the boys' bedroom.

Just the right height for resting by the fire

The small decorative gable is framed.

Roger installs OSB in between the windows.

The surprise birthday celebration for Doug

Having Diane and kids, Nathan G., Len and family, Dave and family, Bernadette, and Mr. Carl come to celebrate with us was a joy!

Cooking the grub

Would you trust this crew if you met them at night on a dark street?

Nathan G. and Isaac torturing Kenton who since he is usually the mischievous one, deserves every bit of what he is getting.

Sharing a quick visit with Priscilla and her family was a treasure for us.

Priscilla and Psalm test out the front porch.

Looking west...

....and east.

Yesterday Mr. Carl taught Wynn to use the nail gun to put up the metal hurricane strips in the top story of the house. Another major memory for Wynn.

It was a big job for a little guy, but with a patient, encouraging instructor and lots of practice Wynn went from an amateur to an expert by the time the job was completed.

Waking Wynn up in the morning is sure a lot easier when he knows he has a bona fide job at the site that day because he is so excited to really help.

The walkway roof is covered.

Psalm and Priscilla enjoyed riding the cow out in Talkeetna.

I sure wish Diane still lived nearby ~ I miss her.

The dog coop crew

Installing the dog coop window

More OSB is installed on the front wall.

Yesterday the plumbers arrive to begin plumbing the house.

Plumbing begins
